This article discusses a comprehensive project implemented at Sochi State University aimed at nurturing creative competencies among students. It also examines how diagnostic testing conducted by the Industry Center for Assessment and Development of Competencies in the Tourism Industry influences the development of these creative skills throughout the students' academic journey. To effectively cultivate students’ supra-professional competencies, it is essential to first assess their current level of development. Since 2022, the Industry Center for Assessment and Development of Competencies at Sochi State University has been conducting tests to evaluate and analyze students’ supra-professional skills. The results of these diagnostics allow the Center to create detailed student profiles, which help identify the current level of competency development. This information serves as a foundation for tailoring individual development plans for each student. Thus, the project focused on fostering soft skills, including creative abilities, allows Sochi State University to create personalized educational pathways that align with each student’s diagnostic results, ensuring that their soft skills are developed to the desired level.
Key words: trans-professional competencies; creative thinking; diagnostic testing
