The aim of this study is to provide evidence that incorporating textual didactic materials with a spiritual and moral focus at Russian language lessons positively impacts the development of communicative competence in primary school children. The article explores the significance of using such materials at Russian language classes for primary school students, delving into the components of communicative competence as a whole and specifically within the studied age group. Additionally, the article offers examples of texts suitable for school summaries that aid in enhancing communication skills among primary school children. It emphasizes that instructional materials for teaching Russian should serve as a foundation for fostering productive speech in students while facilitating the acquisition of both practical and spiritual experiences. Furthermore, the article outlines a segment of a comprehensive lesson plan designed for fourth-grade students, drawing from the educational resource «School of Russia», and featuring an excerpt from the story «The Foster Child» (Priyomysh) by D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak as suggested material for crafting detailed summaries. The study's innovative contribution lies in broadening the existing understanding of how the integration of textual didactic materials with a spiritual and moral focus can serve as a methodological framework for cultivating communicative competence in primary school students during Russian language classes.
