The scientific article is devoted to the study of the specifics of the process of formation of social and communicative competence in preschool children using the means of museum pedagogy. Based on current research, the authors draw attention to the importance of the museum space as an environment for the development of social and communication skills in young children. The paper examines the main approaches to the organization of museum classes aimed at developing knowledge and skills of social interaction and adaptation, communication and cooperation among preschoolers, emotional intelligence, independence, rules of behavior in society. Special attention is paid to methods of stimulating emotional development, as well as the relationship between social understanding and effective communication in the context of museum classes. The study offers recommendations for the practical application of museum pedagogy in working with preschoolers in order to maximize the effect in the development of their social and communicative skills. In conclusion, the importance of further research in this area is emphasized in order to optimize the process of forming social and communicative competence in preschoolers by means of museum pedagogy.
