This article examines the theoretical aspects of worldview formation among cadets in secondary vocational education. Within this context, the methodological foundations of philosophy, ethics, pedagogy, psychology, law and history are synthesized. The key concepts and approaches (systemic, activity-based, personality-oriented) that influence the formation of the cadets' worldview are analyzed. The study highlights the development of cadets’ worldview based on personal life values, which reflect societal behavioral norms and principles. The role of the sociocultural environment in shaping beliefs, value orientations, and personal experience accumulation is emphasized. A survey was conducted among cadets of the Maritime College at Admiral F.F. Ushakov State Maritime University to assess the maturity of their worldview. The findings underscore the importance of targeted pedagogical efforts in fostering the worldview of SVE cadets, considering their specific professional trajectories. Based on the theoretical analysis, it is concluded that there is a need for comprehensive programs aimed at facilitating the harmonious development of cadets’ worldview within contemporary educational frameworks. The article is addressed to educators and specialists in educational institutions interested in the formation of cadets’ worldview within the learning process.
