NATIONAL CULTURAL CODES AS A FACTOR IN THE UNIVERSAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES FORMATION THROUGH THE PROJECT METHOD APPLICATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES

The article is devoted to the national cultural codes influence study on the formation of universal learning actions when learning foreign languages. Based on the modern research results, the author draws attention to the importance of national cultural codes understanding in language learning and learning process implementation. The article reveals the importance of national cultural codes in pedagogy and linguistics. It is shown that in the context of education, national cultural codes can influence such aspects as teaching materials and lesson content, education methods and approaches, intercultural interaction, teachers' professional development, and the tolerance and respect development. The author presents several ways of integrating national cultural codes into foreign language learning, e.g. learning about cultural peculiarities (cultural evenings, visits to museums, etc.), using a variety of materials (websites, apps, videos, films, music), creating an open educational environment (round tables, project method, etc.), adapting communicative strategies (organizing communication with native speakers). The project method contributes to the formation of the ability to discover and reveal the national cultural code «encoded» in language constructions. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of further research in this area to optimize the universal learning actions formation process in foreign language classes.
