THE ROLE OF THE OBJECT-DEVELOPING ENVIRONMENT IN PRESCHOOLERS’ COGNITIVE ACTIVITY

The article highlights the experience of using educational construction kits to design an object-developing environment for preschoolers, stimulating their cognitive activity. The essence of cognitive activity, its structure and unique characteristics at a preschool age are considered. The article also analyses the influence of the socio-cultural environment, contributing to the maximum development of the potential of each child. The authors draw attention to the key role of the object-developing environment in preschoolers’ cognitive activity. The article contains a description of pedagogical tools including construction kits for its formation and the constituents of the environment. The authors conclude by underlying the particular importance of building cognitive skills in children which contribute to the formation of social skills and adaptation to social norms and values. The study contains recommendations for preschool teachers on the formation of CRPD for the development of their cognitive activity.
