GAMIFICATION AND ITS RESOURCES IN TEACHING EFL TO JUNIORS

The article deals with the issue of improving the educational process in foreign (English) language classes using gamification technology. The article presents the definition, objectives and key characteristics of gamification, as well as underlines the necessity of applying this methodology in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) to junior students. The work lays emphasis on the importance of using gamification while implementing activity-based approach in teaching foreign languages. It also reveals universal character of gamification, which makes its use in different learning modes possible. Special attention is paid to the study of the influence of gamification on the psycho-emotional state of students. Specific examples of successful application of gamification in English classes are given, positive results and prospects of this approach in the context of education are demonstrated. The study contributes to the improvement of students' learning efficiency and motivation to master English as a foreign language.
