The security of any region, and especially of a border region, is largely related to the employment of the population and the level of well-being. The uneven digital transformation of the national economies of the Caspian bordering countries increases tension in the national and border labor markets. This process is aggravated by the disappearance of traditional professions and the entry into the labor market of a large number of generation Z representatives. To harmonize the labor market of the Caspian bordering countries and to improve national security, more attention should be paid to the development of soft skills, including through the introduction of modern educational technologies. One of these technologies today is the gamification of the educational process. The article presents the main aspects and matrix of this educational technology and its approbation at the pedagogical Eduton Online like Offline on the basis of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University Technopark (October 14–16, 2022).

Key words: competence, gamification, educational process, labor market, educational technologies, theory of generations
