The ongoing global changes, including changes in the educational system, have led to the active creation and development of strategic partnerships. Networking allows educational institutions to improve and expand their capabilities, which, in turn, allows them to increase their competitiveness. That is why, more and more universities are making efforts to create and increase the effectiveness of partnerships, developing and implementing the latest networking development strategies. The article contains an overview of the components of a safe educational environment. The study discusses the significance of the problem of ensuring psychological safety in the educational process. The essence and characteristics of the phenomena «network» and «networking» are considered. The study defines the risks and functions of networking, as well as its role in the development of a safe educational environment of the university.
