THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SUPPLEMENTARY ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION IN STIMULATING THE ADVANCEMENT OF SELF-DEVELOPMENT AND SELF-DETERMINATION AMONG HIGH SCHOOL CHILDREN

Currently, Russian society is dealing with the challenge of preparing school graduates for life and work in complex political, economic, social, and cultural conditions. In recent years, entrepreneurial education in Russia has been undergoing reforms and updates. The state project «Assistance to the development of entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation for 2014–2020» has placed a strong focus on the development of entrepreneurial education. Programs such as «Young Entrepreneur» and «Business School for All» have been implemented in numerous schools across various regions of the Russian Federation to promote the development of entrepreneurial skills and competencies among students. The author of the article asserts that additional entrepreneurial education is a crucial tool for activating the processes of self-development and self-determination among high school students. The article explores how schoolchildren's self-knowledge, self-education, self-development, and self-determination are interconnected during classes in the additional business education system. It also discusses the pedagogical opportunities provided by the university-based club of young entrepreneurs of various ages, in terms of supporting the personal growth of schoolchildren, and activating their self-development and self-determination. The article argues that modern entrepreneurial education for high school students necessitates the use of new pedagogical technologies and methods to ensure effective and engaging learning, as well as social development for young people. At the end of the article, it is concluded that there is still a lot of work to be done to ensure that additional entrepreneurial education of schoolchildren reaches a high level. It is necessary to improve the qualifications of teachers with entrepreneurial skills, expand access to high-quality educational materials and resources, as well as cooperate with the business community to ensure the real application of the acquired knowledge and experience in practice.
