The article is devoted to the specificity of innovative educational technologies in teaching students with health limitations (hereinafter HL) by means of the English language, as well as the need to evaluate and select educational technologies, taking into account their effectiveness and efficiency in the long-term period. The relevance of selected study topic is in the fact that the use of problem-based learning technologies contributes to solving a wide range of problems, among which the following should be noted: to provide students with HL the opportunity to identify problem situations and find ways of their solution when there are unusual and non-standard situations, to identify non-standard approaches through various mental actions, teaching to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the presented problem situation, organize various activities to develop the necessary thought processes, which will later be used in the process of social adaptation and socialization of students with HL in the changing conditions of the modern world, considering that today the problem of obtaining higher education by people with HL is one of the priority areas of our country state agenda. The interactive educational tools potential will allow future specialists with health limitations to achieve the results demanded in the 21st century – formed «soft skills» that allow them to be competitive and proactive in the VUCA world.
