PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL OF STUDENT TOURISM IN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM

The authors analyze the pedagogical potential] of tourism, specifically student tourism, in the system of education. The nature of the phenomena ‘tourist destinations’, ‘youth tourism’ and ‘student tourism’ is disclosed through giving the respective definitions]. The concept of «tourism pedagogy» is defined, its specific features are revealed. The article shows that student tourism is one of the effective means to comprehensively affect the formation of students which contributes to their ideological, political, moral, labor, aesthetic, and physical development, significantly expanding their horizons. The authors prove the importance of student tourism, as far as it does not only bring joy and positive emotions to young people, but also has significant pedagogical capabilities that contribute to their deep and comprehensive education. In today's world, where globalization and intercultural interaction are becoming an integral part of life, student tourism is a valuable educational tool that expands the boundaries of learning experience and develops key skills.
