The authors summarize the key elements of the civic and patriotic position of the university chair staff. The authors characterize the expression of civic-patriotic position by teachers within the framework of the structural unit of the university (the chair) as one of the key elements of the educational system of the university. The stages of the process of creating team-based media-communication projects aimed at the broadcasting of civic-patriotic position by the team of the university department are defined: 1) reflection of historical heritage, of social culture, experience of social relations, relationships and behavior of people; 2) selection from personal archive, general fund of culture of the content that is personalized and reflects civic and patriotic attitude to the event, can be used in educational activities; 3) creation of media-communication product taking into account the requirements for video and audio support; 4) positioning of the project in social networks; 5) monitoring of feedback; 6) modification. The authors identified a problem field that allows further research to improve the media communication activities of university departments' teams in social networks and other digital resources. Media communication projects representing the civic and patriotic position of university departments' teams consistently demonstrate positive indicators of the level of approval, which indicates the interest in such projects and the readiness of the audience for a dialog. However, the index of discussion of these projects is low. The search for mechanisms to improve the dialog of civic and patriotic projects is necessary. Drawing a conclusion about the importance of collective projects in media and communication activities, the author summarizes the practical experience of implementing media and communication projects that broadcast the civic and patriotic position of the staff of the Chair of Pedagogical Education at Astrakhan Tatishchev State University (ASU).
