Despite the fact that there are several studies of the issue of forming safe behavior in elementary school-aged children, the problem of how to increase the effectiveness of this process is still to be discussed. The authors propose developing an organizational and technological model of forming a safe behavior in elementary school-aged children as a solution, which makes the study relevant. The advantage of this model is that it is based on cascade technology, in which there is a natural sequence and unfolding of the stages of safe behavior like evasion of danger, overcoming danger and anticipation of danger. The peculiarity of the model is that safe behavior in elementary school-aged children is formed through team-game activity. The article presents characteristics of the elements of the model. The results of a pedagogical experiment to implement the model, proving its effectiveness, are described.

Key words: strategies of safe behavior, safe behavior in elementary school-aged children, organisational and technological model, team-game activity, cascade technology
